How long have you been skiing? 12 Years. 2 Years Telemark.

What is your preferred discipline? Sprint

 

What are your skiing aspirations? As this is my first year as a team member of the development squad I want to develop my technique and work towards competing in national cup races. I have high aspirations to one day be a nominated member of the GB team.

What would be your advice to upcoming skiers? Get out there and ski! The more time on skis the better, make every turn count and have fun.

Is there anything you do before a race? Prepare well and leave plenty of time in the morning to have a good breakfast, failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Who is your sporting hero? Sir Ranulph Fiennes, I have a passion for adventure and his achievements are inspirational. I also had great advice from former biathlon, triathlon and

adventure racer Bernie Shrosbree that assisted my drive and enthusiasm for skiing and adventure sports.

What do you do to relax? Run along the Cornish coastline and spend time with my wife on the beach.

What is your nickname? Johnno or DJ.

If you were not a ski racer what would you be doing? I’d probably be crawling around a ditch on Dartmoor.

Who is your secret crush? Chuck Norris “Chuck Norris can build a snowman out of rain”

What is you favorite food? Chinese and anything spicy, chilli improves any meal!

What’s on your iPod? Bit of this, bit of that, lots of rock and some dodgy pop stuff the wife downloaded.

 

Can you tell us something nobody else knows about you? I have a soft spot for dachshunds.

What song is most likely to make you move on the dance floor? LMFAO-Party rock anthem
