Coupe de France de Télémark

Yesterday Jasmin Taylor and Jack Harvard Taylor competed in the opening French Cup of the 2012/13 season in Southern French resort of Vars.

With only one week on-snow training prior to the ‘telemark sprint’ race Jasmin and Jack had a tough challenge competiting against some of the best French and Swiss athletes, many of whom also compete on the FIS World Cup circuit.

“Leaving the Chamonix Vallee in the early hours of Saturday morning with coach Séb Mansart and the Ski Club Les Houches we arrived in Vars to sunshine and a warm welcome from our friends on the French National Team”, Jack said.

Jasmin finished 9th overall in the strong womens field and Jack skied into 15th position after starting at the back of the field with bib number 61. With lessons learned and new areas of focus before the British Championships and World Cup in Rauris, Austria - both Jasmin and Jack will continue training in Les Houches.

Finally Jasmin and Jack would like to thank Kneissl UK and the Mountain Boot Company (Scarpa) for supplying them with ski and boots this season.

Visit to Surefoot London

At the end of last week, Senior Team athletes: Jasmin Taylor and Jack Harvard Taylor visited Leo and his team at Surefoot in Fulham.

Surefoot have supported the British Telemark Team for the last four years with custom liners and othortics for the team’s telemark race boots.

After investing more than 25 years in research and development, Surefoot can proudly and confidently say that we sell the world’s most comfortable ski boots. Skiers - from the bunny hill frequenters all the way up to magazine gear editors and world-class racers - have confirmed this with their overwhelmingly positive reviews of the unmatched comfort and performance of Surefoot’s Custom Ski Boots.

Having precisely fitting boots is crucial for telemark racing at any level and Surefoot do a superb job in ensuring this. With years of experience and thousands of dollars spent on research & development its liners are built to last.
