2013 British Telemark Championships

Yesterday the Army Telemark Ski Association (ATSA) announced the 2013 British Telemark Championships will be held in Rauris, Austria between the 5-17th January 2013.

The championships are the highlight of the British Telemark calendar for racers and recreational telemarkers alike. With a festival-like atmosphere, the on-snow event is a great opportunity for telemarkers of all ages and abilities to improve their skiing and meet other snowsport enthuiasts.

This year’s British Championships will also play a part in selecting the 2013/14 British Telemark Team. The British Telemark selection committee will be keeping an eye-out for emerging talent whilst monitering the current teams performance at these important British races prior to the start of the 2012/13 FIS Telemark World Cup.

Fun Sports Day!

Thank you to everyone that came along to our fantastic Sports Day! Everyone had a great time and we managed to raise lots of money for the British Telemark Ski Team. The day consisted of some pretty crazy sports including space hopper relays and inflatable human bungee table football.

Everyone got stuck in with the sports and on top of that there were some impressive ‘retro ski’ outfits that probably should not have been seen in public.

Special thanks must go to Trespass who donated some fantastic prizes which were given to the winning teams, individual winners and some special prizes for notable effort/disasters.

 

Thanks again for a really fun day! Looking forward to a repeat event next year with some new sports.
